That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I've heard it in the chillest land
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.
-Emily Dickinson
An author once quoted the first verse of that poem in the dedication of a book, which sadly I never finished reading. For some reason, it kinda stuck on me and it's a nice poem. I just accidentally played Sim City Societies all night, it is way too addicting. So, I may now start rambling about weird stuff, early in the morning. Which explains me suddenly bringing up that old poem.
Okay, last weekend I went on an Easter trip with a cell group. We went to a national park and it was kinda cool, like literally cool, it was freezing up in the mountain. Anyway, the trip is not my point, ha ha and you thought it was, but it's not. So, someone shared this testimony during praise and worship on the trip, when you pray to God for patience, God gives you situations which test your patience, when you pray to God for courage, God gives you challenges to overcome, something like that.
And it hit me.
The person was right. And it has not occurred to me once and all I've been doing is getting upset over things that don't go my way since I started uni. Maybe I've been too narrow minded and looking at things the wrong way. And I guess this is how God answers my prayers. PTL!

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. Keep up your walk with God and you will bear fruits.
