'To see sunlight fade and the shadows grow long,
To see rivers go winding blindly back to the storm,And the rickety tracks they are taking me back to where I used to belong.'
It has been a whirlwind recently, with this big splat of crazy in my mind. Maybe I am crazy. Maybe I'm not, nobody can judge because I really don't care. I can't exactly say that everything changed in a blink of an eye, because well that's a lie. Sometimes I just wish I had the guts to grow a spine, to realise that some people are just a waste of time. And really, they don't deserve a second chance. Tho I kinda wish I never told that lie. The only lie I have ever told. Never mind that. Don't owe any explanations.
Friends don't leave friends behind. A day, a month, a year, or 820 days.
Btw, Passengers is such an awesome singer. They have songs that touch your soul, even if he has a mock accent. Thanks Joshua, now I can never unhear his fake accent. But really they are great, so check them out here: Rivers.
So I have a new hobby, to become baking queen. Because I tried to become knitting queen but I failed and it just made me seem like a crazy cat lady minus the cats. At least, for this morning only. Haha. Sudden urge to have lemon and poppyseed cupcakes because I had them once at Vicky's aunt's house. It was at Mesilau, super cold place, but the house is seriously nice. It's for rent for tourists but when we were there it was just us. So Vicky's aunt made lemon and poppyseed muffins which were soooo awesome and I just thought of it. We even planned to make a cake there but for some reason it turned into bread. We were so stun because we put it in a cake pan and all but it was obviously a loaf of white bread when it came out of the oven. Ended up eating it for breakfast with butter, too funny.
Turns out making the cupcakes were way harder work than regular chocolate cupcakes, cos I had to get lemon zest from two lemons. Super killer to grate the lemons and have to make sure it doesn't grate too much or it'll turn bitter. It's ironic how the outer layer of the lemon skin tastes nice but go a little too deep and it tastes awful and bitter. LIKE LIFE. HAHA. Anyway, made a huge mess in the kitchen where my sponge soaked up a bunch of butter when I was scrubbing the dishes and it was so gross I had to throw it away. And baking queen fail, the cupcakes were burnt on top, still edible but a little too done. Thank goodness for icing, covering it up and making it taste more normal haha. Oh, and also thanks to camera phones for making everything look better than they actually are.
Seriously I did not edit any of these photos.
This is why you shouldn't believe things you see on the internet.
Spent the rest of the day watching 500 Days of Summer again. That movie is awesome, it's like watching my life. The One huh.
