Noah Barleywater

Sometimes late at night, I stay up and wonder why didn't I do something better with my life.

But really, am I not good enough? Because I have always envied people studying to become doctors, envy them for being so smart. And at the same time I envy people studying arts because I wish I could do something I really liked.

For now, this is good enough. I guess.

I read this awesome book, it's called Noah Barleywater Runs Away. It will blow. your. mind. In a good way. It's a bit sad for me, reminds me of the childhood freedom days for some reason. And how simple minded children are, because really that's what the book is about. Somehow. Anyway, I can't describe the book because it would ruin it completely. Too easy to guess it, but really it's a good book. John Boyne is awesome. So in summary, it's about a boy named Noah Barleywater who runs away, not very helpful I know ok. He runs away and at first it was pretty normal, like any modern day story until I started to get mindtut because weird things started happening. Talking trees and animals and whatnot. He sees some toy shop in a forest and goes inside. The toymaker starts telling him stories about the weird puppets in his secret box. Each and every one of them has a story. They sound pretty unrelated at first, but in the end you start to realise what is going on, and you start to see why he ran away. And somehow, it's a really sad story. But you know, it's about the way life works.
