(Oh after all these years I finally know what shin means, it's the front part of your calves lul learned that in gym.)
But hey, there comes a time for everyone to start acting mature right. Unfortunately growing old does not equal growing up. And worse, sometimes growing up means growing apart.
During my recent trip to Sydney with a gang of friends, we all started being philosophical and talked about the issue of making friends. Maybe we're all just ancient and old or what not but we agreed that we all have enough friends at this age, which means we don't put as much effort into making new ones. I'm not trying to say I'm antisocial, I wouldn't ignore people who start conversations with me, but then again I wouldn't go around introducing myself to everyone in the room either. Honestly, true friends are hard to come by after college, or maybe even high school, so I guess we just tend to keep our close friends instead of making many acquaintances. It's not such a sad thing actually, it just means that you've got enough support from your close friends that you don't feel the need to go out looking for more. This also means we lose some of our old friends that we don't get along with since we just don't really bother anymore and well, we'd just grow apart eventually. But you'll begin to realize the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people because they are the ones who will stick with you through thick and thin, and they will also be the people who make you want to be a better person.
To become a better person, you need to surround yourself with people better than you. Likewise, to become a mature person, you need to surround yourself with mature people.
