Stupidity

I was looking through my documents folder and I found one of my old PowerPoint slideshows for a course I took last semester. It made me laugh silently to myself while I thought of the time I made it. And..

Oh hey looks like it's story time!

Back then I had an oral presentation I was supposed to give on a genetics topic, so I picked a topic about blonde hair origins in this specific region. It was quite interesting really, turns out that certain blonde hair types are just simply random mutations, instead of mixed ethnicities. Sorry but that's the most decent way I can put it that won't make it sound weird, wrong or nerdy haha. I did research on the topic, found and actually read some journals in pain. These were scientific journals, the one where it looks like English but turns out to be a whole new language, and unfortunately I don't speak medical. I am pretty sure that it was a miracle that I understood them after reading 346782935 times. 

The day before the presentation I spent quite some time making my ppt slides. They weren't actually long, like only 2 slides LOL. But the point is it took awhile cos seriously 2 slides is harder than 10. I finished it, saved it in my pendrive and went to bed while chanting take the pendrive on the table tomorrow, take the pendrive on the table tomorrow etc.

Then when I woke up, I grabbed my stuff, even printed out the journals to bring with me, and went to uni as usual. And hey I wasn't late this time. But you know Murphy's Law - what can go wrong, will go wrong, so ya lah I forgot to take the pendrive. So stupid kan. In the end, my effort was wasted and I had to improvise on my presentation by writing everything I could remember on the whiteboard. I even had to dig up the names of the genes and all that from memory. Hahaha ngong ku, retarded much, it's like doing your homework then not bringing it to hand in.
