I was talking to a friend the other day and I found out Australian supermarket workers earn at least $30 per hour and up to $40 during later hours. At least that's what she said she was earning, but still gosh Australia why your wages so high! In Malaysia, cashiers at supermarkets would get probably RM700? Well, Australian living costs are high as skyscrapers so I guess it is justified, somewhat.

There's a church conference coming soon and I'm wondering if I should join, kinda pricey since I missed the early bird prices. But somehow being with my church group has been making me feel a lot better about being away from home. I'm trying my best to attend all the life group meetings since I'm super bad at attending anything, I'm already impressed anyone even remembers me cos I used to go like once a month? Anyway, I'm just really grateful because I've been feeling like this semester has been quite a good start compared to the ones before. I don't live in the middle of nowhere anymore, and I'm not super occupied with work that I can't attend any activities, both my bosses are really nice now, and I got a pay raise woohoo, still under minimum wage but at least it's equal to the wages in the city centre now.
