Day 9

Happy ninth day of 2015 to everyone!

Since it's a new year, this is a good time to set some new goals and resolutions for the coming days. Sure most of the time the new years' eve just means having to take out a new calendar, people just don't magically change once the clock strikes midnight. But the changing year signals a new beginning, even if we can't change overnight, I think putting in the effort matters much more.

I've learned many new things in 2014, faced many obstacles, conquered some of them while the rest shot me down because I am not titanium. The most important thing is - I am still alive hooray.

For peer pressure sake, these are my goals for 2015 so that people who see me slacking off can scream at me:

1. Survive the one-semester-a-day concept.

First off, let me explain what is this so called one-semester-a-day thing. It's during that period before exams where you attempt to learn everything in the semester in one day because you were too lazy to pay attention for the whole 13 freaking weeks.

Every year, I tell myself I will work hard, I will study consistently and that I will not procrastinate, BUT I still.do.the.same.thing day in day out. So I decided to just embrace it (lowest level of giving up  already lolwtf) and accept that I will be doing it till I graduate. I probably have zero drive and absolutely no motivation, but still have high expectations (worst combo ever), so I'm gonna settle with trying to not die while cramming. Who knows saying that I will do it anyway will have the opposite effect and I might actually start working hard? HA HA ZUO MENG.

2. Get a second job.

3. Up my grades by another GPA point.

4. Try to be more punctual.

5. Take my music lessons seriously.

Most importantly, get around to taking my piano and theory exams within this year before I forget for another n years again. Also to get my clarinet and guitar out of display, and start practicing again.

6. Travel with my travelling kakis.

I'm really glad I've got this gang with me to travel with every time, and that we're mostly interested in the same places (e.g. local supermarkets wtf), or it's just that our plans somehow work out by itself in the end. This year it's gonna be New Zealand, plus Bangkok (unexpected huh? haha), hopefully it's not gonna be used to cook soup. It's kinda like an annual tradition now, sometimes even twice a year lol, though most of the time it's not the complete gang except Korea (super rare chance!) but hey, it's something. Next time we probably shouldn't play pepsi cola in the subway station while wearing jeans.

7. Minimize my closet and all my harta pusaka.

My stuff occupy too much space and within this year I have to cut it in half in time for graduation (if i graduate lol). Free stuff for everyone!*

*terms and conditions apply.

8. Save up a sum of money.

Pretty self explanatory, who doesn't need money? Except a certain someone *cough*.

9. Get back in reading.

I used to read like one book a day (and not listen in class at all hooray), now I probably average about one a year? Sorry life got in the way, I don't have those times where I sit down all day and have to entertain myself by reading anymore (read: high school).

10. Procrastinate less.

This is not even an actual resolution any more, it's just here by default. Never gets done anyway, ever. By the looks of posting this on the 9th day of the year, I have already failed this. Skip.

11. Start an investment account thing.

HAHA this is like the most adult thing on the list. I don't even know what it's actually called, but it's that account thing where you put in money and you get more money when you retire. Which for me will be 23958235 years later, hopefully.

12. Buy a new piano.

DO NOT TRY TO STOP ME.

13. Put more effort into lifegroup.

14. Get rid of loose ends in my life.

NO, I'm not going to kill myself lol calm down. It's just that there are some loose ends and unresolved conflict that I have to tie up.

跨年没有想到你的人,就是不想踏入你新的一年,就乘现在忘掉。

15. Finish this post.

DONE!

So this is probably my very general and superficial outline for the year. I honestly have not given enough thought to what I really want to do but meh, come at me bro.
